#9 Women's Lax Holds Off #3 Lawrence Tech

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Erin Kehn scored five goals and the ninth-ranked Siena Heights women's lacrosse team held off a late charge from third-ranked Lawrence Tech to claim a 14-13 win in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play at O'Laughlin Stadium on Wednesday.

Aliisa Mason added three goals while Kayla Parks and Madison Sabourin finished with two goals apiece for the Saints (4-2, 2-2). Sabourin also had seven groundballs, five draw controls and four caused turnovers.

Also for SHU, Taylor Swartz talled a goal and an assist, Sydney VanHoose scored one goal and winning goalie Tabitha Ferguson stopped 11 shots.

The Saints trailed 10-8 at halftime before going on a 6-1 run, getting two goals apiece from Kehn and Mason during that stretch. The charge left SHU with a 14-11 advantage; LTU scored a pair of goals to close the deficit to one, but did not manage the equalizer.

Alyssa Shaver led the Blue Devils (5-2, 3-2) with five goals and one assist. Ashley Collins and Kadijah Kalo added three goals and one assist each.

Kalo also finished with seven groundballs and six draw controls. Isabelle Vickers five groundballs and six draw controls in support of goalie Marie Klonowski, who had six saves.

Lawrence Tech outshot Siena Heights, 36-23.

The Saints will return to action on Friday with a 7 p.m. WHAC matchup with Lourdes (Ohio).
