Kehn's Eight Points Lead #9 Women's Lacrosse to First Win of Season

PHILIPPI, W. Va. -- Erin Kehn had seven goals and one assist as the ninth-ranked Siena Heights women's lacrosse team defeated NCAA Division II opponent Alderson-Broaddus (W. Va.) in non-conference action on Sunday.

Aliisa Mason, Sydney VanHoose and Sabrina Snow also scored goals for the Saints (1-1). Mason also had an assist while Snow controlled six draws.

Also for SHU, Madison Sabourin finished with three groundballs and three caused turnovers. Kayla Parks also picked up three groundballs.

Tabitha Ferguson earned the win in net, finishing with five saves.

The contest was certainly a game of runs with Siena taking a 4-0 lead before the host Battlers came back with three goals of their own.

After taking a 4-3 lead into intermission, the Saints scored three consecutive goals in the second half before a 4-1 run by A-B.

Kehn, who scored SHU's last five goals, put in two insurance goals in the last four minutes.

Aurora Winwood compiled three goals and one assist to lead Alderson-Broaddus (1-1). Goaltenders Emily Petrole and Arbria Johnson combined for 10 saves.

The Saints will return to action on Tuesday with a 2 p.m. non-conference contest at Tennessee Wesleyan.
