Women's Lax Eliminated from WHAC Tourney by #2 Davenport

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Sabrina Snow led the Siena Heights offense with four goals and one assist in the Saints' women's lacrosse team's 29-13 loss to Davenport in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament semifinal on Friday.

Erin Kehn added three goals and one assist while Stephannie Gonzalez contributed two goals and one assist for the fourth-seeded Saints (9-10), who faced an early 5-0 deficit.

Also for SHU, Sydney VanHoose scored two goals while Samantha Skodi and Cynthia Bradford notched one goal apiece. Aliisa Mason had one assist.

Gonzalez led the squad in draw controls with five. VanHoose had four draw controls and three groundballs while Kehn totaled three draw controls and three groundballs.

Siena Heights goaltender Tabitha Ferguson stopped 16 shots in the cage.

For the top-seed Panthers (14-2), Brooke Knoll finished with seven goals and one assist while Jessica Lemcke had six goals and one assist. Taylor Balch added four goals and six assists for DU, which is ranked second in the NWLL.

In net, goalies Samantha Powers and Lena Henderson had two saves apiece.

In the other WHAC Tournament semifinal, sixth-ranked Indiana Tech defeated fourth-ranked Aquinas, 17-16.
