Kehn Tallies Eight Goals as Women's Lax Claims WHAC Tourney Win

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Erin Kehn tied her own school record of eight goals to lead the Siena Heights women's lacrosse team to a 19-11 victory over Lawrence Tech in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Tournament first-round game on Wednesday at O'Laughlin Stadium.

Stephannie Gonzalez and Sabrina Snow added four goals apiece for the fourth-seed Saints (9-9), who claimed their first-ever conference tournament victory. Gonzalez also had nine draw controls.

Cynthia Bradford, Samantha Skodi and Sydney VanHoose added single goals. Skodi also had two assists while Snow and VanHoose contributed one assist apiece.

Margaret Hern had five caused turnovers and five groundballs. Snow also had five groundballs in front of winning goaltender Tabitha Ferguson, who finished with 13 saves.

Fifth-seeded Lawrence Tech (4-10) was led by Kadijah Kalo, who compiled five goals, one assist and nine draw controls.

The Saints will play next on Friday when they visit top-seeded Davenport for a 5 p.m. WHAC Tournament semifinal start.
