Saints' Women's Lacrosse Falls Again to #2 Davenport

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's lacrosse team fell to second-ranked Davenport, 18-9, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Tuesday at O'Laughlin Stadium.

Sydney VanHoose led the SHU scoring effort with two goals and one assist. Aliisa Mason and Sabrina Snow added two goals apiece while Stephannie Gonzalez and Erin Kehn contributed a goal and an assist each.

Also for the Saints (4-5, 2-2), Cynthia Bradford had a goal and an assist.

In goal, Tabitha Ferguson finished with 17 saves. She also had five groundballs while Alyssa Mullen finished with six groundballs. Snow added three caused turnovers.

The Saints and Panthers were even at 2-all before DU went on a 5-0 run to take the lead for good.

Davenport (10-0, 5-0) was led by Jessica Lemcke, who scored six goals, and Sara Kuzava, who finished with four goals and one assist.

Mackenzie VanDerWarf had eight groundballs and seven caused turnovers on defense. Goalie Samantha Powers had five saves.

The Saints will be in action again on Wednesday with a 4 p.m. home contest against WHAC opponent Aquinas.
