SHU Women's Golf Places Third in Stroke Play Portion of the WHAC Fall Preview

AUGUSTA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's golf team finished third in the team standings for the stroke play portion of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Fall Preview Tournament at Stonehedge Golf Club in Augusta, Michigan. The Saints finished with a +50 (338) team score to claim the third slot.

Northwestern Ohio won the stroke play round with a +33 (321). Indiana Tech was next with a +41 (329). SHU edged out Aquinas by one stroke, who finished one stroke better than Lourdes, who was in fifth. Lawrence Tech fell to six ahead of Madonna and Cornerstone. Cleary, UM-Dearborn, Concordia (Mich.), and Rochester finished the team standings. 

Bethany Nowak placed second as an individual with a final score of +4 (76). Skylar Whitman shot a +12 (84) to tie in 16th, just two strokes ahead of Megan Paczac, who tied in 22nd. Leah LaFleur shot a +20 (92) to tie for 34th, and Kylee Bratschi tallied a +22 (94) for 39th to finish off the scoring for Siena Heights.
