SWANTON, Ohio -- The Siena Heights women's golf team finished fifth out of 10 teams at the Defiance Invitational at White Pines Golf Course in Swanton, Ohio. Gabrielle Anderson (Fraser, Mich.) led the Saints by tying for 15th overall with an 88.
Allie Baron (Ypsilanti, Mich.) was two strokes behind Anderson for the second-best score for Siena as she tied for 17th with a 90. Mya Price (South Lyon, Mich.) shot a 91, tying for 19th. Amy Nordstrom (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and Emily Witaszek (Temperance, Mich.) finished fourth and fifth for SHU with scores of 99 and 104.
The teams were only able to play one round of the tournament due to day two being canceled because of rain.
The Saints will compete in the Scotland USA Invitational in Alma next Saturday, September 15. The tournament is set for a 1:00 p.m., shotgun start.
