The Siena Heights women's golf team had four athletes honored as 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the governing body recently.
Seniors Katherine Carlson and Lauren Cojei are two-time scholar-athlete honorees. Junior Amy Nordstrom and sohomore Carley Hall were first-time award winners. Carlson majors in social work with a minor in Spanish and art while Cojei is a criminal justice major with a minor in psychology. Nordstrom is an accounting major and Hall is a business major while pursuing a minor in health care management
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
