Women's Golf Claims Fifth at The WHAC Championship

AUGUSTA, Mich. -- After two day and three rounds of action, the Siena Heights women's golf team placed fifth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship, on Friday and Saturday.

Leading the Saints and earning seventh place with a total of 240 strokes was Lauren Cojei, with a 77 and 76 in the first two rounds, followed by a round score of 87 to end the tournament. Madisyn Reed managed 18th place with a total score of 251 (81-84-86).

Dakota Spears tied for 21st with a total score of 259. Ten strokes behind was Carley Hall with a 269 while Gabrielle Anderson managed a 276.

As a team, SHU carded a 1014, with round two as the best with a 333. Winning the tournament with a 946 overall was Northwestern Ohio, including the individual winner Devaki Ganesh with a 228.
