Women's Golf Takes Fifth at the Shootout at Stonehedge

AUGUSTA, Mich. -- The Siena Heights Women's golf team placed fifth while competing in the Shootout at Stonehedge, on Friday. The Saints played 27 holes on Friday due to the incoming weather on Saturday.

As a team, they marked a 349 through the first 18, 167 in the second to result in a tournament score of 516, earning fifth of eight teams.

Lauren Cojei was the top golfer for the Saints shooting 124 through 27 holes, tying for 12th place.

Dakota Spears and Madisyn Reed tied for 18th with 129 in the 27 holes played. Carley Hall placed 25 while teammate Emily Witaszek placed 35 overall.

Northwestern Ohio earned first place with a team score of 480. The individual winner was Loren Krider throm Indiana Tech with a 27-hole score of 112.

The Saints will be back in action on Monday at the Cleary University Invitational.
