Women's Golf Finishes Second At The Shootout at Stonehedge

AUGUSTA, Mich. – The Siena Heights women's golf team finished second out of nine teams at the Shootout at Stonehedge on Friday and Saturday.

The Saints had two top ten finishers, Amber Dykstra and Andrea Richards. Dykstra tied for fifth with an overall score of 159 (79-80). Only three strokes behind Dykstra, Richards tied for seventh with an overall score of 162 (81-81).

Ashley Bearden finished 12th and had a round one score of 81 and round two score of 82 with a total of 163. Lauren Cojei tied for 17th with a score of 168 (85-83) and Alyssa Fausneaucht tied for 24th with a score of 171 (86-85).

Overall, the women took second place and scored a 652 (326-326), only three strokes behind Northwestern Ohio who took first place. Finishing first overall was Hannah Stradling of Cardinal Stritch with a total score of 153 (76-77).

The Saints will be back in action at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship on Monday, April 24, at Gull Lake View Golf Club in Augusta, Mich.
