Women's Basketball Heads to Rochester for Only Contest of the Week

THE GAME
The Siena Heights women's basketball team will travel to take on Rochester in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Wednesday. Tip off is set for 5:30 p.m. This is the only game on the schedule this week for the Saints. 

The Saints are currently 16-11 overall and 9-8 in WHAC action, averaging 65 points per game. SHU is shooting 39% from the field, 30.2% from three and 63.1% from the free throw line.

Rochester holds a 13-11 record overall and 8-8 WHAC record. The Warriors average 69.7 points per game while shooting 41.2% from the floor, 35.7% from the three point line and 63.4% from the charity stripe.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Demi Russell leads the Saints' offense with 10.7 points per game and adds a team second best, 5.3 rebounds per game. Alyssa Larson is the Siena Heights leading rebounder averaging 8.1 boards per game to go with 9.1 ppg. Azalea Miller has dished out a team high, 3.8 assists per game while Larson is atop the Saints' leaderboard with 1.2 blocks per contest.

For the Warriors, Maddy Valko leads in scoring with 14.1 points per game. Rio Dudgeon and Devan Valko add 11.6 and 11.1 points per game respectively. Rikki Scherdt has pulled down an average of 8.5 rebounds per game to go with her 4.3 assists per game. Allyssa Copley has led Rochester with 1.3 blocks per game.

NEXT UP
In the final week of the regular season, the Saints will host it's last home game on Wednesday, Feb. 14 in a WHAC contest against Aquinas. Tip off is set for 6 p.m. On Saturday, Feb. 17, SHU will head to Madonna for a 1 p.m tip off, to close out regular season play.
