Women's Basketball Overwhelms Calumet Saint Joseph

WHITING, Ind. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team traveled to Calumet Saint Joseph (IND.) and ran away with the victory with a score of 80-35.

The Saints' defense was overwhelming for the Crimson Wave. SHU held CCSJ to just 18 points in the first half, and then 17 points in the second half. 

April Watson led the Saints with 24 points and six rebounds on 11-13 (85%) shooting from the field. Clara Waidley added nine points, while Azalea Miller Siena Heights with four assists. 

Brittni Kisnul led Calumet Saint Joseph with 13 points and three steals. Andreana Johnson contributed 13 rebounds. 

The Saints shot 53.6% from the field on the game while the Crimson Wave shot 31.8%. CCSJ coughed up 34 turnovers and the Saints capitalized, scoring 34 points off of turnovers. 

The Siena Heights women's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday, Dec. 31, when they travel to take on Madonna in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
