ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team hosted cross-town rival, Adrian, in a non-conference contest on Tuesday. The Saints walked away with a 76-57 victory in the "Our Town" battle.

In the first quarter, buckets were traded and neither team was able to take an early advantage. After one, the score was tied 16-16.

The Bulldogs (2-2 overall) scored the first basket of the second period but the Saints went off on an 8-0 run and took a 27-20 lead over AC with 7:27 left in the first half. But SHU was not finished. Siena Heights scored another 13 unanswered points to create an 18 point lead. Going into half, the Saints led 44-31.

Into the third, Siena Heights (2-4 overall) maintained control, but Adrian was able to bring the score to within nine points by the end of the period.

At the beginning of the fourth, SHU rattled off another 10 unanswered points and stretched their advantage to 19 points. With 5:27 left in the game, Clara Waidley knocked down a three-pointer to give the Saints their largest lead with a score of 69-47 and that ended up being too much for the Bulldogs.
