April Watson, Siena Heights women's basketball team member, won the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week award for her performance in last week's contests.
Watson played a pivotal role in the 68-61 victory against Aquinas, on Wednesday. She scored 10 points with 4:47 remaining in the fourth quarter to tie the game for the Saints. Watson broke the WHAC record in blocks with a career-high eight blocks.
Against Northwestern Ohio, Watson put-up 18 points and brought down a career-high 10 defensive rebounds.
Waston recorded her 10th and 11th double-doubles of the season, finishing with 20 points and 10 rebounds against Aquinas and 18 points and 13 rebounds against Northwestern Ohio. She has scored in double-digits in 22 of the 27 games she's played in.
