Women's Basketball Handles Concordia

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights women's basketball team defeated the Concordia Cardinals 57-42 in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match-up, on Saturday.

April Watson led the Saints (2-0, 1-0) with 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Lauren Wirth pulled in the game high 14 rebounds and added nine points while Jaaliyah Arrington put up 12 points for Siena Heights.

Brianna Rowe was Concordia's leading scorer with ten points. Karlee Morris brought in seven rebounds and Lauren Featherston scored eight points for the Cardinals (3-2,1-2).

Siena Heights took the lead early in the match and held a comfortable lead for the remainder of the game. The Saints led 34-14 going into halftime. 

With four minutes left in the game, the Cardinals made it within nine points of the Saints, 51-42. Siena Heights responded with an Azalea Miller three-pointer, coasting to the end of the game. 

The Saints will be back in action at Cornerstone, on Wednesday. Tip off is set for 8 p.m.
