ADRIAN, Mich. -- Morgan Warfield scored 14 points while three of her teammates put in 12 each as the 13th-ranked Siena Heights women's basketball team claimed a 64-56 non-conference victory over NCAA Division III opponent Alma on Tuesday at the SHU Fieldhouse.

Sierra Calhoun, Alexxis Knannlein and Mackenzie Tomasik scored 12 points apiece for the Saints (9-2). Tomasik was the team's leading rebounder with nine boards while Knannlein and Warfield grabbed six each.

Siena Heights used a strong first half to build a 34-21 halftime lead. The Saints shot 13 of 29 from the field during the opening 20 minutes (44.8 percent) while the visiting Scots went 7 of 29 (24.1 percent).

The teams traded runs in the opening period as SHU scored the first five points before Alma answered with a 13-4 stretch -- highlighted by eight points from leading scorer Raeanna Zink.

After falling behind, 13-9, Siena Heights outscored the Scots, 25-8, the rest of the half. That stretch included a pair of 9-0 runs and one 7-0 streak.

Back-to-back layups by Knannlein gave the Saints their largest lead -- 62-43 -- with 7:10 remaining in the contest. From there, Alma closed with a 13-2 run, but ultimately fell short.

Zink had 24 points and nine rebounds for Alma (3-5) while Mallory Pruett contributed 13 points.
