Adrian, Mich -- Morgan Warfield scored 16 points, leading a quartet of Siena Heights scorers in double-figures as the 16th-ranked Saints' women's basketball team defeated cross-town rival Adrian, 64-49, in non-conference play at Merillat Gym on Tuesday.
Sierra Calhoun added 14 points, Grace Howrigon put in 11 and Jennifer Jasinski contributed 10.
Howrigon also had five assists, becoming the first SHU women's basketball player to eclipse the 400-assist mark in her collegiate career. She now has 404 helpers as a Saint.
Jasinski and Warfield grabbed eight rebounds while Calhoun hauled down seven boards.
The Saints (4-2) scored 14 consecutive points to build a 26-11 first-half lead and never looked back. From there, they held the advantage in double-digits, expanding it to 18 points at one time.
LaQwana Dockery led the Bulldogs with 17 points. Amy Van Gessel led all rebounders with 13 boards.
Siena Heights will now get ready to host its Thanksgiving Tournament on Saturday and Sunday. The Saints will tip off against ninth-ranked Saint Xavier (Ill.) at 2 p.m. on Saturday before No. 4 Saint Francis (Ind.) takes on the No. 11 team in NAIA Division I, Shawnee State (Ohio), at 4.
