NFCA Honors Wolfinger as Second Team All-American

Siena Heights softball senior second baseman Kyndle Wolfinger was named Second Team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, as announced on Monday. Overall, 32 athletes were named First and Second Team All-American by the NFCA.

With a season full of accolades, Wolfinger has been named NFCA First Team All-Region, WHAC First Team, WHAC All-Academic, Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, NAIA All-American and now NFCA All-American.

Wolfinger finished the season with a .487 on base percentage and a .460 batting average, including a .513 slugging percentage, to lead the Saints in on base percentage and batting average. As she leads the team in at bats with 150 plate appearances, she also leads the Saints in strikeouts after striking out only six times.

The Jackson, Mich. native stole 18 bases on the season while only getting caught once. In her 150 at bats, she earned 69 hits while scoring 52 times to hold a SHU school record.
