Softball's Wolfinger Earns NAIA Second Team All-American

Siena Heights softball senior infielder Kyndle Wolfinger caps off her career with NAIA Second Team All-American honors, as announced by the NAIA on Friday. A total of 40 athletes, only 10 infielders, in the NAIA were honored as First or Second Team All-Americans.

With a season full of accolades, Wolfinger has been named NFCA First Team All-Region, WHAC First Team, WHAC All-Academic, Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and now adds All-American to that list.

Wolfinger finished the season with a .487 on base percentage and a .460 batting average, including a .513 slugging percentage, to lead the Saints in on base percentage and batting average. As she led the team in at bats with 150 plate appearances, she also led the Saints in strikeouts after striking out only six times.

The Jackson, Mich. native stole 18 bases on the season while only getting caught once. In her 150 at bats, she earned 69 hits while scoring 52 times to hold a SHU school record.
