Softball Wins a Pair Over Indiana Tech

The Siena Heights Softball Team won two games over Indiana Tech in WHAC play on Saturday.

In the first game, the Saints fell behind 1-0 before scoring the next six runs and came away with the 6-2 victory.  Offensively, Kyndle Wolfiner was 3-4 with two runs scored and a double, Kenya Keller added a 2-4 game with 4 RBI and a double, Megan Jones added two RBI, while Kelsey Cherry and Skylar Crenshaw each had a hit as well.  On the mound, Lesley Ducat threw the complete game win, striking out six.

In the second game, the Saints built a big lead early and cruised to the win.  Wolfiner went 4-4 with three runs and a RBI, Keller added a hit and a RBI, Kris Forest went 2-5 with four RBI, Jones added a double and two RBI, Lexi Agers had two hits and a RBI, Hailey Fox added two hits with Cherry and Hannah Bleikamp each adding a hit for the Saints.  Kayla Kormos started the game and threw five innings, striking out three.  Lindsay Brandon threw the final two innings, striking out one and allowing no runs.

With the wins, the Saints move to 18-4-1 on the year and 3-0-1 in WHAC play.  They will return to action on Saunday when they travel to Lima, Ohio to face Northwestern Ohio.
