The Siena Heights Softball Team saw their opening season winning streak come to an end at the hands of #7 Marian.  They went on to lose their second game of the day to Cardinal Stritch.

In game one, the Saints jumped out to a 1-0 lead, but then saw five unanswered runs to seal the 5-1 loss.

Back to back doubles by Hannah Bleikamp and Lexi Agers provided the lone run for the Saints.  Kris Forest, Hailey Fox and Bleikamp had the other Saints' hits on the game.  Lesley Ducat took the loss on the mound, allowing all five runs, but only one earned run.  Lindsay Brandon came on in relief and struck out two over the final 1.2 innings.

In game two, the Saints once again jumped out to the lead, scoring three runs in the third before seeing Cardinal Stritch tie the game in the fourth, and take the lead in the fifth.  The bats were again relatively quiet with only five hits coming, one each from Kyndle Wolfinger, Kenya Keller, Bleikamp, Kelsey Cherry and Fox.  Keller had one Saint RBI with Bleikamp adding the other two RBI.  Kayla Kormos started on the mound, going four innings allowing three runs and striking out two.  Brandon took the loss in relief allowing two runs, one earned and striking out four in her three innings.
