Vermilye Earns Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete Honors

Siena Heights men's cross country runner Anthony Vermilye was named a 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete, as announced by the NAIA recently. This is the third consecutive year Vermilye was honored with this award.

In order to be considered for the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award the athlete must be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.

Vermilye also earned Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete honors, along with teammate William Jackson.
