Men's Cross Country Season Recap

The Siena Heights men's cross country team finished fifth in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference to conclude the 2017 season. Lone men's cross country runner Esrom Woldemichael qualified for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championship.

Woldemichael made his first appearance at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships, finishing 227th of 328 runners in 27:15.  He was also awarded First Team All-Conference honors by the WHAC and earned Outstanding Runner, presented by his coach Tim Bauer.

Coach Bauer also awarded Anthony Vermilye with a Team Award. Vermilye earned the Coach's Award, along with the WHAC Champions of Character honors, Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award and a WHAC Scholar-Athlete award.

Another athlete earning the WHAC Scholar-Athlete award is William Jackson.
