GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Esrom Woldemichael took seventh place as the Siena Heights men's cross country team placed fifith of eight teams at the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship, on Saturday.
Woldemichael crossed the finish line at 25:52 to take seventh overall and earn First Team All-Conference honors. The individual winner was Colin De Young from Cornerstone.
The next finisher for SHU was Anthony Vermilye, finishing in 26:25. He was followed closely by Jareb Duggan at 26:29 and Liam Heaney at 26:47 to finish 21st and 24th, respectively.
The fifth finisher for the Saints was Bradley Bauer, coming in at 26:50 to take 34th place.
As a team, the Saints finished in 2:12:25 to earn a 26:28 five-person average and 115 points. Indiana Tech won with a total time of 2:09:20 and 46 points.
