The Siena Heights men's and women's cross country teams are headed to Grand Rapids, Mich. for the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships, on Saturday, Nov. 4. The race will take place at Riverside Park with a 12 p.m. start time for the men and 1 p.m. start for the women.

At the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, for the women, Ashley Russo crossed the finish line in 18:35.91 to take 11th place on the five kilometer course as the first SHU finisher. As a team, the top-five team time for SHU was 1:38:07.35 for an average time of 19:37.47 per runner and a total of 242 points good enough for an eigth place finish.

For the men, Esrom Woldemichael finished the eight kilometer course in 25:40.08. As a team, SHU had 228 points with a top-five team total time of 2:13:11.03 to average 6:38.21 per runner, placing eigth overall.
