Siena Heights men's cross country runner Esrom Woldemichael was named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, on Monday, for his efforts in the Jayhawk Invitational.

As the first collegiate finisher at the meet, Woldemichael crossed the 8k finish line at 25:25.81 for SHU in front of 211 other runners.

This is Woldemichael's first weekly honor this season and the second of his career.

Siena Heights will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Mich.
