Woldemichael Efforts Help Men's XC to Second Place Finish at Jayhawk XC Invitational

MUSKEGON, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's cross country claimed second at the Jayhawk Cross Country Invitational, on Friday.

As the first collegiate finisher at the meet, Esrom Woldemichael crossed the 8k finish line at 25:25.81 for SHU. Unattached runner Tanner Chada took first in 25:01.98.

Jareb Duggan finished in 26:42.39 for 10th place, followed by Bradley Bauer in 12th place at 26:42.39. The final two runners for SHU were Nicholas Barth and Joe Vermilye who finished at 27:05.15 and 27:09.65 fr 16th and 18th, respectively.

Lansing won the event with a total score of 45 followed closely by SHU with 53 points.

Siena Heights will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge at Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Mich.
