Esrom Woldemichael, member of the Siena Heights men's cross country team, was honored as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Runner of the Week for his effort at the Jayhawk Cross Country Invitational, on Friday.

In his first race as a Saint, Woldemichael was the top-SHU finisher for 15th place and the third non-unattached finisher to cross the finish line. He finished the 8k course in 26:10.

The sophomore helped the Saints to a second place finish as he helped lower the five-person team average to 26:57 compared to 28:01 from the previous week.
