Parlette's Third-Place Finish Leads Men's Cross Country at Bethel

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Samuel Parlette finished third individually as the Siena Heights men's cross country team placed eight among 13 teams at the Bethel (Ind.) Invitational on Friday.

Parlette clocked in at 25:50.1 on the 8-kilometer course for the Saints, who had 201 points. Team winner Goshen (Ind.) totaled 50. A total of 135 runners competed.

Vincent Cantu was 40th with a time of 27:21.1, Shayne Dingman took 69th in 28:08.7, and Matt Robinet finished 70th in 28:10.4.

Parker Saenz rounded out the scoring, taking 84th in 28:45.1.

Goshen's Ryan Smith was the individual race-winner, crossing the line in 25:40.6.

The Saints will return to competition on Oct. 25 at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids.
