Men's Volleyball Sweeps Cross-Town Rival Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's volleyball team swept cross-town rival Adrian, 3-0, in non-conference action, on Thursday. Set scores were 25-22, 25-15 and 25-20.

In the first set the score stayed close until the Saints (13-9) went up 11-8, a lead that held through the remainder of the first set. SHU took an early lead in set two with their biggest lead at 21-10 before shutting down the Bulldogs 25-15.

Opening the final game was John Kalugar who served the first five points for SHU, gaining a 5-0 lead, which the Saints held on to for the remainder of the game.

Leading Siena Heights with nine kills was Chris Horner. He was followed closely by Tyler Hubbard-Neil with seven kills. Setter Keegan Crawford earned 30 assists and four digs for SHU. Finishing with eight digs each was Ryan Hafner and Emilier DeJesus as Kalugar had seven digs.

Noah Marcinkowski had 12 kills for AC (3-17) as Avery Johnson earned 11 kills. Joseph Campana had 26 assists for the Bulldogs and Daniel Contreras led with seven digs.

Siena Heights will be back in action on Friday in the regular season finale as the Saints host Saint Xavier (Ill.) in a 2 p.m. non-conference contest.
