MARION, Ind. -- Men's javelin thrower Noah Cunningham placed 10th on day one of the NAIA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which began Wednesday at Indiana Wesleyan.
Cunningham tossed the spear 58.91 meters (193 feet, 3 inches) with his third attempt. He narrowly missed out on the javelin finals by one spot as berths were awarded to the Top 9 after three throws.
Cunningham will compete again at Nationals on Thursday in the 110-meter hurdles. Abdullah Nassr is also set to run in the 800 while Matthew Gipple competes in the long jump.
