Brent Rodden Auto Qualifies in 600 Meters to Highlight Men's Track and Field Outing at GVSU

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's track and field team finished 11th out of 17 teams with a total of 23.5 points at the Grand Valley State University Bob Eubanks Open on Friday afternoon.

Brent Rodden was the top finisher for the Saints as he auto qualified in the 600-meter dash with a second-place finish of 1:20.55.

Robert Drew finished third in the weight throw for a provisional mark of 17.09m (56' 1"). He also placed fifth in the shot put with a best throw of 15.04m (49' 4.25").

Rees Nemeth was fifth in the pole vault by clearing the bar at 4.50m (14' 9") and Liam Heaney placed 10th in the mile run with a time of 4:27.00 to finish off the men's top finishes.

The men's team will return to GVSU next Saturday, January 19 to compete in the Mike Lints Open.
