Men's Track and Field Finishes Fifth at 2018 WHAC Outdoor Championship

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's track and field team finished fifth at the 2018 Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championships, on Thursday and Friday. The Saints earned three WHAC Champions, including two the second day of the meet.

Brent Rodden won the 800 meter dash by almost three seconds, crossing the finish line at an automatic-qualifying time of 1:51.49.

Winning the men's high jump was Keith Jordan, clearing the automatic-qualifying height of 6 feet, 8 ¾ inches.

In the shot put Robet Drew took second place with an automatic-qualifying distance of 54 feet, 9 ¼ inches. Drew also took second in the discus with another automatic-qualifying distance of 161 feet, 10 inches.

Jacob Compagner, the winner of the hammer throw day one, took fourth in the shot put with a provisional distance of 50 feet, 11 inches.

The 4x400 meter relay team took third, finishing in 3:28.54. The relay consisted of Garret Young, William Jackson, Thomas Mammel and Rodden.

Indiana Tech won the meet in convincing fashion with 301 points while Aquinas took second with 153 points. Cornerstone was third with 114 points with Madonna close behind with 90 points. Siena Heights earned 86.5 points to take fifth while Concordia was sixth with 44.5 points.
