Men's Track and Field Earn Success at Don Kleinow Invite

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's track and field team earned seven top three finishes along with four automatic-qualifying performances at the Don Kleinow invitational hosted by SHU, on Friday.

Brent Rodden won the 800 meter run in 1:51.26 seconds, defeating the second place competitor by over two seconds.

Jacob Compagner earned second place in the hammer throw with an automatic-qualifying distance of 53.67 meters.

With another second place finish for SHU was Robert Drew in the shot put. He threw an automatic-qualifying-distance of 16.09 meters.

In the high jump, Keith Jordan managed a fourth place finish as he cleared the bar at 2.05 meters, which was good enough for an automatic-bid to nationals.

Winning the 1500m for SHU was Jareb Duggan with a time of 4:06. Earning third was Jordan Parkinson in 4:11.99.

The Saints 4x400 meter relay team claimed third place with a time of 3:30.22. The team consisted of William Jackson, Thomas Mammel, Lucas Marston and Rodden.

Next up, the Saints will travel to Hillsdale for the Gina Relays on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
