Siena Heights men's track and field team member Brent Rodden was named the NAIA Track Athlete of the Week, announced by the association on Wednesday.
Rodden ran his season-best, automatic-qualifying time of 1:53.77 (after conversion) in the 800 meter, claiming the top time in the NAIA while earning first place at the Findlay Classic by over 2.5 seconds.
This is the junior's first national player of the week award for track and field. In 2015, Rodden's freshman year, he was named a men's soccer offensive player of the week by the NAIA.
The Saints will return to action on Friday and Saturday at the Hillsdale Widetrack Meet.
