Three men's track and field athletes were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes, as announced by the NAIA recently.
The lone two-time recipient of the group is senior Stefan Wilkinson. He also garners two-time WHAC Scholar-Athlete honors.
Seniors Kyler VanWormer and Anthony Vermilye are newcomers to this award, also earning the WHAC Scholar-Athlete award for the first time during the 2016-17 school year.
In order to be nominated for the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete award, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. A total of 316 men received this award.
