Men's Track and Field Compete in Last Chance Meets

HILLSDALE, Mich. -- After competing in multiple last chance meets over the weekend, the Siena Heights men's track and field team found success at the Hillsdale Last Chance Meet, on Thursday, to prepare for the NAIA National Championships next week. 

Winning the discus throw with a toss of 48.33 meters was Robert Drew.

Taking second place in the 100m dash was Blaine Ellington, crossing the finish line in 10.90 seconds.

Brent Rodden won the 800 meter run with a time of 1:51.18 while Anthony Vermilye came in second and Dominic Muessig finished fourth. Vermilye finished in 1:51.90 while Muessig came in at 1:52.38, both running their best run of the season. 

Also improving was Torin Anderson in the 400 meter hurdles. Anderson finished in 53.54 seconds to earn second place. 

The Saints 4x400m relay team took fourth place, finishing in 3:21.42.

SHU will finish their season at the NAIA National Championship Meet on May 24-26 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
