Richardson & the 4x800m Relay Team Earn All-American Titles at NAIA Championships

GULF SHORES, Ala. -- Gerald Richardson and the 4x800m relay team earned All-American honors on the second day of competition at the NAIA Championships on Friday. 

Richardson cleared the bar at 7 feet, 0.5 inches (2.15m) to earn second place and All-American honors.

The 4x800m relay team earned eighth place and All-American honors with a time of 8:14.39. The team consisted of Anthony Vermilye, William Jackson, Brent Rodden and Dominic Muessig

Frederick Boyd ran the second fastest time in the 110m hurdles, finishing in 14.44 seconds and advancing to the finals.

The 4x400m relay team consisting of Zakary Haines, Juarrezz Smith, Torin Anderson and Muessig finished in 3:12.66 seconds for the second fastest time heading into the finals. 

Muessig finished the 800m run in 1:52.45 to advance to the finals. 

As a team, the Saints are tied for eighth place with 11 points. 

The NAIA Championships will wrap-up competition on Saturday.
