GULF SHORES, Ala. -- During the first day at the NAIA Outdoor Championships, Paul Jacobs earned All-American honors while Torin Anderson ran the fastest time in the 400m hurdles preliminaries. 

Jacobs threw 180 feet, 1 inch (54.88m) in the hammer throw for seventh place. 

In the 400m hurdles, Anderson led the field with a time of 52.96 seconds in the preliminaries. 

The NAIA Championships will continue on Friday and Saturday.
