HOW IT HAPPENED

Stephan opened the scoring for the Saints in the 15th-minute off a cross from Alexander Mittag (Junior, Utica, Mich.). The Warriors edged the Saints nine shots to seven in the first half.

The second half would remain at a standstill for nearly 42 minutes as SHU had four scoring opportunities between the 49th and 68th minute but all came up short. The Saints' luck changed in the 88th-minute as Justin Gray (Senior, Fraser, Mich.) beat Rochester goalkeeper Sam Manuvelpillai (L, 0-2-1) from a pass by Matheus Marrote (Freshman, Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul) to have a wide open shot on net.
