Saints Drop One to Goshen

Goshen, Ind. The Siena Heights University men's soccer team took a loss to Goshen (Ind.). The Saints were able to put up five shots on goal but none could land in the back of the net.

The Basics:

Final Score: Siena 0, Goshen 4

Location: Goshen, Ind.

Records: SHU (3-3-0) Goshen (4-3-0)

How It Happened:

The Saints came out shooting as in the first half they put up nine shots compared to Goshen's seven. Each team had their chance at corners to score but nobody could capitalize off the kicks. In the 40th minute the Maple Leafs struck first and didn't look back.

Goshen would score three more times in the second half.

 Leading the Saints with shots was Justin Gray (Senior, Fraser, Mich.). Three other Siena players would have two shots on the day.

Top Saints:

-Gray had one shot on goal which is his 10th of the season

-In goal for the Saints was Andrew Kozan (Sophomore, Canton, Mich.). He would make three saves

The Opposition:

-Jimmelle Ramkissoon, Lucas Vilela, Spencer Aeshcilman, and Lucas Bontreger would all score one goal for the Maple Leafs

-Tyler Born was in goal as he earned the win and make five saves

The Saints finally end their six game road streak as they take on Saint Francis (Ind.) Sunday Sept. 16 at 1:00pm here at O'Laughlin Stadium.
