Gray Hat Trick Helps Lift Men's Soccer Over Rochester

ADRIAN, Mich. – A hat trick from Justin Gray helped the Siena Heights men's soccer team to a 4-1 victory over Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference opponent Rochester, on Wednesday, in their regular season home finale.

Starting off the scoring for the Saints was Rahbar Khan at the 4:05 mark. When he sent one to the far post off of a failed clear. The 1-0 score held through halftime.

Gray scored three goals for the Saints in the second half, two headers and one as a quick turn and shoot inside the 18-yard box. Assists were credited to Chris Ornelas, Brent Rodden and Matt Lentine.

Khan and Gray each took four shots for SHU while Ornelas and Rodden managed three each. For the Warriors (1-16-0, 0-10-0 WHAC), Rudy Alvarado took two shots.

In goal for the Saints (6-10-0, 4-6-0 WHAC), Andrew Kozn made six saves to earn the win and clean sheet. Zach Tilson started in goal for RC, making two saves and allowing four goals prior to being relieved by Daniel Higgins in the 76th-minute, who made two stops.

Siena Heights outshot Rochester, 26-9, while both teams managed three corner kicks.

The Saints will conclude their regular season on Saturday as they travel to Northwestern Ohio for a 3 p.m. WHAC match.
