ADRIAN, Mich. – Rahbar Khan managed three goals and two assists in the Siena Heights men's soccer 5-1 Homecoming victory over Cornerstone in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference match, on Saturday.
Opening the scoring for the Saints (5-8-0, 2-4-0 WHAC) in the 20th-minute was Rahbar Khan, hitting a driven shot to the back post from 30 yards out. Less than 15 minutes into the second half, Khan sent a cross in the box that Elmedin Celovic sent home after a quick touch from Matt Lentine.
Khan converted a penalty kick in the 67th-minute, just before the Golden Eagles tallied their lone goal of the match in the 68th-minute as Sebestian Ramos finished a pass from Kevin Nimmo from 20 yards out.
The Saints added two more goals in the final six minutes of action. The fourth goal was from Brayden Stephan who slotted one under the CU keeper, assisted by Khan. In the final minute of regulation, Brendan Tobias netted a quick pass across the open frame from Khan, Enoch Tsibu-Beckson getting the Saints in scoring position.
Leading SHU in shots was Khan, taking nine shots with three on frame. Matt Lentine managed five shots for the Saints. Kyle Doornbos was the lone Golden Eagle to take two shots on the day.
In goal, Andrew Kozan earned the win for SHU with three saves. Dary Dewalt started for the Golden Eagles (2-7-3, 1-4-2 WHAC) and stopped six shots prior to being relieved by Nick Hopkins at the 58:50 mark. Hopkins stopped one shot.
Siena Heights outshot the Golden Eagles, 24-12, as CU held a 9-3 corner kick advantage.
