Men's Soccer Rallies for Double-OT Victory Over Huntington

ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's soccer team finished in exciting fashion as Justin Gray netted the game-winner in double-overtime to win it 4-3 over Huntington (Ind.), on Saturday.

The Cougars started off the scoring in the first half as Noah Fleming finished a breakaway from about 20 yards out. The 1-0 score held through halftime.

HU (3-2-2) struck again in the 51st-minute as Jake Erlandson finished a cross from Matheus Louzada to make it 2-0 in the Foresters favor. Rahbar started the Saints' momentum with a free kick goal from 20 yards out, finishing it near post.

Kahn then sent a ball across the 18-yard box for Brent Rodden to finish. Less than three minutes later, Enoch Tsibu-Beckson finished a pass from Khan in the 63rd-minute to make it 3-2 in the Saints favor. In the 88th-minute, Erlandson and Louzada again teamed up for a Forester goal, tying it 3-3.

The first overtime, SHU outshot the Foresters 3-2 but were unable to get one on frame. However, in the second overtime, it took the Saints exactly one minute to score as Gray netted the game-winner, giving the Saints their first win of the season.

In goal for Siena Heights (1-4), Morgen Gardocki started and was relieved by Andrew Kozan, in both the second half and first overtime. Gardocki made eight saves while Kozan made three saves. Troy Hurtis stopped one shot for the Foresters.

Siena Heights will return to action on Wednesday as they face Cleary in their final non-conference game of the season. Kickoff for the home contest is slated for 7 p.m.
