McLaughlin Lifts Men's Soccer To Success Over Cleary

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Collin McLaughlin scored the game-winner for the Siena Heights men's soccer team against Cleary in non-conference action, on Saturday.

Cleary opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Noah Schneider finished a cross from Danilo Milacic, holding the Saints 1-0 through halftime.

Only 54 seconds into the second half, Elmedin Celovic netted the equalizer for the Saints after beating the keeper in a one-on-one situation.

In the 51st minute, McLaughlin scored off of a Alessandro De Santis rebound to seal the deal for Siena.

Siena Heights (2-2-0) goalkeeper Leo Hisamatsu earned the win with five saves. Marc Hodges made six stops in net for the Cougars (3-3-0).

SHU out shot Cleary, 23-10, and held an 7-2 corner kick advantage.

The Saints will host Saint Francis (Ind.) on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. non-conference contest.
