Men's Soccer Draw Against #RV Madonna

LIVONIA, Mich. -- Lucas Hidalgo Carneiro scored the lone goal for the Saints in a 1-1 double-overtime draw against WHAC opponent Madonna, on Friday.

The Saints and Crusaders were scoreless going into halftime -- taking six and seven shots, respectively. In the 83rd minute, Madonna took the lead with a goal from Nico Gonzalez, assisted by Amandou Cisse. The Crusaders did not have the lead for long. Siena Heights' Carneiro scored in the 87th minute off of a cross from Brent Rodden, which would end the scoring in the match.

In 110 minutes of play, goalkeeper Leo Hisamatsu made seven saves for the Saints. Marcel Schmid stopped five shots in net for the Crusaders (6-0-4, 1-0-2).

Siena Heights (6-1-2, 1-0-2) will be back in action on Wednesday. The Saints will travel to WHAC opponent Northwestern Ohio for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
