Collins Equalizes for Men's Soccer in Tie with Dearborn

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Kaysey Collins scored the equalizer in the 86th minute to pull the Siena Heights men's soccer team to a 1-1 tie with Michigan-Dearborn in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Wednesday at O'Laughlin Stadium.

Collins scored off a rebound of Jakub Havlak's shot off the goalpost.

Richard Hodnicki had scored the game's first goal for Dearborn, tallying in the 43rd mintue on an assist from Nate Szymkowicz.

Brandon Gonzalez played all 110 minutes in goal for the Saints, finishing with five saves. Andrew Pietrzak had three stops for the Wolverines (1-8-1, 1-3-1).

Siena Heights outshot UMD, 30-19, and held an 8-6 corner-kick advantage.

The Saints (2-11-1, 1-4-1) will return to action on Saturday with a 7 p.m. WHAC contest at No. 1-ranked Davenport.
