WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The No. 6 Siena Heights men's lacrosse team faced off against Cumberlands on Saturday and won the contest, 10-7.
At halftime, the Saints (4-0 overall) had a one point advantage with a score of 5-4. It was late in the third, into the fourth that Siena Heights went on a 5-0 run to create some separation and give them a three point, 9-6 lead. Each team scored one more to make the final score 10-7.
Shane Lewandowski and Danny Orr each scored four goals for SHU. Derek Martin, Nolan Lyons and Garnet Potter each contributed one assist. Tyler Hooper earned the win in net for Siena Heights, allowing seven goals and making 13 saves.
Sam Collinson and Justin Darley each finished with two goals for the Patriots (6-4 overall). Caleb Elerick completed three assists while Will Settle started in goal and suffered the loss.
Next up, the Saints will host Savannah College of Art and Design on Saturday, Mar. 24. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
