Men's Lacrosse Defeats Tennessee Wesleyan

ATHENS, Tenn. -- The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team traveled to take on Tennessee Wesleyan in a non-conference contest on Friday. The Saints came away with the 14-12 victory. 

The Saints scored the first goal of the contest and led for most of the first half until the Bulldogs tied the score with 4:33 remaining in the first half. TWU eventually took the lead one minute before the half and went into the break leading 8-7. 

In the third period and into the fourth, Siena Heights went on a 6-0 run and regained advantge. SHU was able to hold on the rest of the way and finish with the win.

Shane Lewandowski scored a team high, six goals for the Saints. Michael Birt III and Garnet Potter each contributed one assist. Tyler Hooper earned the win in net for Siena Heights, allowing 12 goals and making six saves. 

Roderick William and Kalen Fearing each finished with three goals for the Bulldogs. Ian Gonzalez and Williams each dished out three assists. Patrick DeMoss suffered the loss in goal allowing 14 goals and making 13 saves. 

Next up, the Saints will take on Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday, Mar. 10. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
